While year-round riding is possible with proper preparation, here’s what you need to know if you need to store your e-bike:

Battery Care
Store your battery at 40-80% charge capacity. This optimal range prevents parasitic loss during 1-3 month storage periods while maintaining battery health. Keep the battery away from extreme temperatures – both freezing and excessive heat can trigger the Battery Management System (BMS) to shut down. Since our e-bikes are UL certified, you can safely store them indoors like any other UL-approved appliance.

Mechanical Protection
Before storage, thoroughly lubricate the chain, derailleurs, and chainrings to prevent corrosion that could spoil your first spring ride. Properly inflate the tires to account for natural pressure loss during storage.

Storage Environment
Choose a cool, dry location to prevent corrosion and moisture damage. Ensure all connectors are securely fastened but avoid twisting them. Keep your e-bike away from electrical and gas appliances, and never leave the charger plugged in during storage.

Professional Preparation
Consider having your e-bike professionally serviced before storage. A reputable e-bike shop will address potential corrosion issues and ensure your first ride of the season is enjoyable rather than problematic.
